.cr DNSSEC workshop

From 21 to 25 April, NIC Costa Rica along with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC) held a workshop to promote the use of DNSSEC in the country and to conduct a high-level workshop on this extension of security and the implementation of best practices in the DNS management. This technology has been developed to add security to the DNS as a protection against cyber attacks, , cache poisoning, data interception, among others, by using digital signatures.

The international experts who conducted the workshop, both world leaders in the field, were Dr. Richard Lamb, ICANN DNSSEC Senior Program Manager and Phil Regnauld NSRC instructor.
