Local Internet Governance initiatives still growing

On October 27 at the University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires, it was held an Internet Governance event: Dialogue on Internet Governance in Argentina, the first multistakeholder space on the subject in the country in which nic.ar participated. The event was an opportunity to talk on Internet Governance issues in which Government, civil society, academia, the technical community and the private sector discussed in order to help to shape the use and development of Internet in Argentina.

This space also promotes the informed participation of stakeholders in the country in regional and international forums that are also based on the principle of multi-stakeholder participation as the Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

The topics discussed were Infrastructure and Access, Internet and Rights, Cybersecurity and Surveillance and the Future of Internet Governance in Argentina.
