.cr and its Cyber Security training

NIC Costa Rica, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Department of Computer Crime  of the Judicial Investigation Agency in cooperation with the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (IACAT) of the Organization of American States (OAS) , held a technical training course in Costa Rica about Cyber ??Security in order to instruct technical leaders of the country about the latest trends and best practices worldwide in the field of cybersecurity.
National and international experts had the opportunity to share knowledge in this area and expand on topics such as Network Security, Ethical Hacking and use DNSSEC among other topics.
The different subjects were carried on by experts from the Secret Service of the United States of America, Packet Clearing House, OAS-CICTE and the Internet Address Registry for Latin America and Caribbean (LACNIC).
The training was attended by 60 people and included representatives from Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, Paraguay and Costa Rica. The Technical Training on Cybersecurity was held from September 30 to October 4, 2013.
