In 2015 CGI.br celebrates its twentieth anniversary. The actions and decisions of CGI.br are based on a set of fundamental Principles for the Governance and Use of the Internet in Brazil (the ‘Decalogue of Principles’) unanimously adopted by the members of the Board of the CGI.br in 2009 (CGI.br/resolucoes/documento/2009/003). Among all the activities being developed in this year, there is the ‘CGI.br 20th anniversary conference series – Principles for Governance and use of the Internet’. The series deal with each of the principles of CGI.br’s decalogue.
In this context, on Wednesday 16, Thursday 17 and Wednesday 23, September it was held an extensive discussion of the principles of “Legal and Regulatory Environment” (16) “functionality, security and stability” (17) and “Universality” from the Decalogue of the Comité Gestor da Internet in Brazil (CGI.br).
The next conference will take place on October 13 and will focus on the principle of Net neutrality. This is established as the eighth conference held this year. More information about upcoming conferences here
